Escorted Dive/Snorkel Trips

I escort liveaboards and land based holidays each year to various locations including Egypt, Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, Belize. 

The trip itineraries are planned to provide you with a relaxing holiday with me available to help in any way I can from teaching photography topside and underwater and how to edit and improve your skillset, or you might simply want some diving tips or some insight into the environment we’re in.

I make myself available daily to give one to one advice on technique and how to get the best from your photo equipment. 

And if applicable I can give informal group talks on lots of relevant topics. 

I do my best to foster a fun environment so you’ll have a holiday to remember for many years. I have many repeat customers from around the world, and people make lifelong friends on these trips, which I love to say I have been a part of.

Analog Film Photography workshops in Yorkshire

If you’re a child of the digital age, or you’d like a big slice of nostalgia in your life then one of my analog film workshops may be just the job for you.

I’m taking names and finding dates between my trips to deliver an experience to people keen to shoot the past.
Some people have never used a film camera having grown up in the digital world.
And there are those of us who learnt our photo skills with cameras that you had to focus, set exposure, and even wind on to the next shot.

Film photography, like playing vinyl records puts you firmly front and centre as part of the process, and makes you think more slowly and mindfully and even if you don’t decide to shoot film beyond the course, you can’t fail to gain more of an insight into the photographic process and bring those skills to bear into the digital realm.

I live in the Yorkshire Dales near Richmond, and I have a number of film cameras in a variety of formats that I can teach you how to use.

Great if you’re thinking of delving into the fun to be had shooting on film.
There’s a tangible quality and joy to be had from simply using this kit, but the results, particularly from the larger format cameras are a real delight with a sense of aesthetics very difficult to achieve with digital cameras.

The slowness of pace and your participation in everything from metering the light, manually focussing the cameras, and even winding on after pressing the shutter, lends itself to creative results as you’ll have to think about each shot.

Photo & Video Editing Lessons

I have delivered two day photo editing courses in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to many people over the last decade.

And I am available to do one to ones or small groups ( up to 6 people ) all over the country. In the comfort of your own home.

I am now expanding my repertoire to include teaching some of the alternatives to the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription model, so I will be also teaching Luminar and Affinity one and two day courses, and will be shortly adding video editing tuition too.

I visit dive and photography clubs around the UK and have a number of different talks on underwater photography, photo editing, travel and tourism that I can deliver to your club members at very reasonable rates.
